1. Starting at the ring, measure desired hanging length and mark evenly across all 4 strands (picture in listing is measured to 15 inches)
2. Use provided tool to poke each strand through the corner holes. Make sure the rope isn't twisted at the top.
3. Double knot each strand under the shelf exactly on the marked line.
4. Hang shelf to make sure it is level, the cut excess rope from the bottom.
